Long ago, Sarah knew she wanted to be a lawyer, but what she came to realize was that she wanted to be an advocate, to champion hopes and dreams, and no less important, to right the wrongs suffered by individuals and families. Sarah empowers people inside and outside courtrooms. While lawyers are often heralded for a scorched earth approach, Sarah believes in leading and listening with love while advocating reform. She inspires clients and opposing sides with what is possible.

Sarah has over 20 years experience serving as a labor and employment law attorney, Assistant District Attorney, chief corporate counsel, entrepreneur, and as an educational advocate who is passionate about protecting the civil and legal rights of students with disabilities.

Two weary parents found themselves in a sea of “No” and rote responses regarding their child’s painful school experience. Faced with limited objectives of teaching to standards in lieu of excellence, they found frustration in seeking resources for their son. “Tom” is a motivated kid dealing with bullying while in courses below his academic abilities. He, like one-fifth of the global population, is dyslexic. Sarah worked with the school and his parents to empower Tom, facilitating placement of needed accommodations in accordance with IDEA and application of state and federal laws relating to special education, IEPs, and 504 plans, bullying prevention and remedies, and fostering improved engagement between the administration, teaching staff, and family.

“Sarah is an incredible attorney with expertise in a myriad of areas. She is a problem-solver who has this wonderfully unique way of bringing in kindness and tenacity to difficult circumstances. She is persistent in her pursuit of positive outcomes and gets all in the room engaged and working collaboratively.” – “Tom’s” Dad
